Samco are proud to be part of the BSIF and of the Registered Supplier Safety Scheme. As a company we are passionate in our belief that these standards are vitally important to the on-going maintenance of industry standards and the welfare of the workers within.
We are dedicated to supporting all those businesses in the UK who help to keep people safe and healthy at work and passionate that Safety and Health is universally recognised for what it is, as a positive force for good.
All PPE must be correctly tested and certified to meet appropriate European standard. Unfortunately, the quantity of non-approved product being sold in the UK is on the increase. Such products should not be used for business because they contravene safety legislation. A number of items are available that claim CE approvals but in reality they have not been appropriately certified. Even worse, some items are in fact counterfeits of existing products, which just do not perform as they should, putting lives at risk. To combat this, the BSIF have created the Registered Safety Supplier (RSS) scheme. Companies displaying the schemes logo have signed a binding declaration that the safety equipment they offer meets the appropriate standards, fully complies with the PPE regulations and is appropriately CE marked. All Registered Safety Suppliers are independently audited to confirm compliance with the scheme’s requirements. By using a Registered Safety Supplier you can be sure you will only be supplied genuine, appropriately approved product and you will receive sound advice without any attempt to mislead. If you see the RSS shield then you know you are purchasing from a competent supplier.
